I paint for momentary escape from a digital world. I want others to experience my paintings the way I do, which is through touch as well as sight. When paintings are experienced through more than one sense, we can appreciate their physicality and presence. By being touched by many hands, a painting may become less precious, but perhaps it can become more real.

The act of painting brings me great joy. I become absorbed by the tactile reality of the paint, even as a part of me is transported somewhere else via the image. By touching as well as viewing the paintings, you might also experience this simultaneous state in your own way.
