Cat is a visual artist who works in sculpture, photo transfer and texture.

Using her own photography as a base in her two-dimensional work, images and scenes are created by overlapping photo transfers and combining encaustic wax with transfers. In the layers she seeks to explore the foggy nature of our memories, her final representations bridging the gap between real landscapes, memories and dreams.

Cat’s sculpture work seeks to explore negative space and form, to express tension, harmony and flow. Working with various stone types, she wishes to push what can be achieved in the medium, highlighting the particular attributes that each kind of stone embodies. The softer the stone, the finer the detail she is challenged to achieve. The harder the stone, the more fluidity is sought.
