Rio Deleen grew up on the US West Coast and Colorado where she was influenced by her love of nature and art. She received a major in fine arts, and Interior design at the University of Northern Colorado. At age 30 she moved to Canada where she enjoyed a long and satisfying career as an interior designer. She’s now returned to her roots as an artist and art teacher, leading workshops in spaces like Ethan Allen and Opus Art Supply. She also offers fine art instructions for individuals and groups. For her own art—exhibited in juried art shows in Canada and the US—painting and photography are Rio’s mediums of choice. Her subject matter moves between still life, landscapes and abstracts. She lives, paints, and teaches art in Kitsilano,Vancouver near the ocean , mountains and nature.

I see beauty in all things. I try to give the viewer that moment in time through my artist’s eyes.
