Golya Mirderikvand is a contemporary painter who grew up on the North Shore. Her recent works have increasingly gravitated towards exploring the internal perceptions of the observer and the manifestations that arise as a direct result of observing and interacting with the external world. Her most recent body of works explore an internal abstract space that conveys and explores our myriad internal human perceptions.

Golya holds a Masters degree in Art Conservation from Queen’s University, with a specialization in the conservation and restoration of paintings. In addition to her art restoration skills, she has been painting for many years and has been involved in various creative endeavours, creating opportunities for the community to engage and benefit from art.
