Artist Statement
Making art is a new career for me. I retired from a corporate role in the natural resource sector and have embarked on my lifelong dream of creating art full-time. I am blessed to work out of a beautiful studio at 1000 Parker where being surrounded by dozens of working artists has been a huge inspiration
I have a history of working in watercolour and pen & ink and recently began including acrylic and oil painting, with some mixed media sprinkled about. These recent years of chaotic and anxiety filled times have found me seeking places of solace and beauty. I hope that the images I bring to board, canvas and paper provide a respite from the frenetic nature of 21st century life for those who see my work.
