Jennifer Harwood is a western Canadian artist. Born in London, Ontario, and raised in and around Vancouver, BC since the age of 4.
Jennifer graduated from Simon Fraser University where she studied Contemporary Dance has also received a diploma in graphic design from Vancouver Community.
Dabbling in visual art all through secondary school, she started her painting career in 2000. She took training through Emily Carr Continuing Studies, Federation of Canadian Artists and other professional workshops.
Since the start of her career, Jennifer has been consistently working in acrylic on canvas and paper.
Her genres of rural landscapes and florals are created with a loose, gestural style with influences in both impressionism and abstract expressionism.
Jennifer has had many shows since 2000 starting with the Federation of Canadian Artists, Vancouver Art Guild and with public and private galleries in Victoria, California and Toronto.
In 2010 she achieved AFCA Signature Status with the Federation of Canadian Artists.
Jennifer has been commissioned by private individuals and corporations including British Pacific Properties for their Uplands development, Oceanfront Investments, Cushman and Wakefield Commercial Relators and Dean Duckett Carlson LLP Barristers and Solicitors in Edmonton, Alberta. She has been published in House and Home magazine and her images have been used for Assante Financial and Wealth Management client cards and the Western Branch Canadian Psychoanalytic Society (WBCPS) website.
