Always drawn to the human form, Louise Solecki Weir works to accurately express both the physical rendering and the emotive state of her subject. Her background includes studies in visual arts, portraiture, art therapy, forensic approximation, dance and music. Native to Vancouver, she has won awards in American and Canadian juried exhibitions. Found most days in her studio at 1000 Parker Street in Vancouver, she also enjoys singing in the occasional venue with her husband, Greg Weir, Vancouver BC.
